With a third-generation Intel Core i5 processor and Windows 7 Professional operating system, this ultrabook is enriched with supporting features like a Smart Card reader, fingerprint reader, and TPM security chip. This notebook weighs approximately kg. Despite a height of only 19 mm, HP has successfully equipped this ultrabook with various ports including Ethernet, display port, and VGA port. HP claims this product is ideal for active and busy professionals who spent more time on the field than in the office. The battery life is indeed a strength of this ultrabook. It can easily last for just above 7 hours, which is about an hour longer than the ultrabook average. As mentioned previously, this ultrabook belongs to the business class. Therefore, it is a tad disappointing that it only has a low resolution display. Its 14-inch display comes with a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, which means that the display quality is not great - It is only average at best. While the screen is bright enough for most tasks, it is not the best when comes to multimedia presentations. A high quality webcam is important for a business device for task like videoconferencing. Unfortunately, this ultrabook only features a low quality webcam. In short, the HP EliteBook Folio 9470m is a solid, premium business ultrabook with a great battery life.
